The new Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB)
We will provide a taxable benefit of $2,000 a month for up to 4 months to:
workers who must stop working due to COVID-19 and do not have access to paid leave or other income support.
workers who are sick, quarantined, or taking care of someone who is sick with COVID-19.
working parents who must stay home without pay to care for children that are sick or need additional care because of school and daycare closures.
workers who still have their employment but are not being paid because there is currently not sufficient work and their employer has asked them not to come to work.
wage earners and self-employed individuals, including contract workers, who would not otherwise be eligible for Employment Insurance.

申请者必须在2019年，或者提出CERB申请前的12个月内，有超过5000加币的受雇、自雇等收入。

The Canada Emergency Response Benefit will be accessible through a secure web portal starting in early April. Applicants will also be able to apply via an automated telephone line or via a toll-free number.

申请从4月6日开始（正常的话），在提交申请的14天后，也就是4月20日就会获得福利。
如果我已经开始领取失业保险金（EI)呢？
如果你已经申请了失业保险金（EI），你不能再申请CERB，你的EI申请会自动转为CERB申请，你会获得16周的CERB福利。
如果你的EI在2020年10月3日之前结束，仍无法继续工作，你可以再申请CERB。

如果2020年10月3日之后我仍然生病或者失业怎么办？
如果你有足够的EI保险小时数，你在领取16周的CERB福利后，还可以继续申领EI。
